RELAXING VS. RECOVERING

Relaxing is a passive activity. It’s enjoyable, but not necessarily designed to help us “recover”. It is a form of recovery, but not the same thing.

  • Fishing

  • Listening to music

  • Mowing the lawn (for the green thumbs in the group)

  • Having a beverage

  • Watching a show

Recover is an active process. It may or may not be enjoyable, but necessary …
