Good Morning All -
A couple housekeeping items.
It’s a been a little quieter on the front lately with decisions I’ve had to make on the business and personal fronts, but am back at it with what I think will be more meaningful support across all fronts. Our community will now be formally separated into two distinct components:
Our newsletter (via substack)
Our professional development community (via mighty networks)
Part I: The newsletter
Our newsletter will operate more as a traditional newsletter. It will provide updates on job trends, resources, and I’ll still continue to share observations. The newsletter will go out on a monthly basis instead of a weekly basis, but will be much bigger and comprehensive in order to address job trends and resources with the attention it deserves. Things that will be included in the monthly newsletter:
Job Trends
Resources such as good reads, podcasts, research, and other good stuff out in the field
Observations
Part II: Professional development community/Community of Practice
Mighty networks will now be home for tailored resources and skill development. I’ve played around (as you all know) with delivering this in the past, but nothing is as organized as that platform, so this is the new home for professional development. This is where we will house S.I.G. training from either myself or other experienced professionals and our other various events. For all students who are in school, this is a free membership. For those working in the field, this will cost $6.95/month and comes with a 30 day free trial. Money goes to covering the platform and providing compensation to the professionals who are coming in and providing the training.
Below are the links to join if you are interested, otherwise substack will continue to carry on in its new format.
THE PATH AHEAD
Next Monday, I will send out the newsletter with the new template. For now, it would be great to hear more from all of you, so please share thoughts on topics and resources that would be most meaningful and I’ll continue to add it in to future newsletters and community content:.
